Rubys provides accommodation for males and females, aged 12-18 years. The focus is on helping young people and their families resolve conflicts and get back together again, with either the young person returning home or living independently with parental support.

Accommodation is provided on a respite basis whilst the young person and their family work towards resolving their conflicts and reunification.

At present there are three Rubys that offer this service, Thebarton, Enfield and Mount Gambier. In addition to this a fourth Rubys is located at Edwardstown for those young people who require longer term accommodation where there is less likelyhood of the young person returning home.

Counselling at Rubys is mandatory, so the service works collaboratively with the Youth and Parent Services counselling team (located in Pitt St).

Ruby's referrals can be made directly via the service, through the counselling duty service or through a NAHA Gateway service
