Police Drug Diversion Initiative (PDDI) and Court Assessment and Referral Drug Scheme (CARDS)

PDDI is a program established to assist young people referred via the Police Drug Diversion Line to gain information and advice about drug use.

CARDS is a program established to assist young people referred via the Court Appointment Line to provide appropriate interventions around counselling, advice and information about drug use

Ideally these programmes would hope to assist young people give up drug use but their main focus is encouraging young people to actively participate in the community and make informed choices in relation to drugs.

PDDI and CARDS are specifically targeted at homeless and at risk young people .
