Community Overnight Respite
About the service
Eyre House is a community overnight respite service which provides carers with the opportunity to have planned breaks while the person they care for has a holiday in suitable holiday house style accommodation.
The respite care is provided in Eyre House for up to 3 people per stay for 3-4 nights.
Community Overnight Respite is available on both Eyre Peninsula and Yorke Peninsula.
Eyre Peninsula
The Community Overnight Respite service has holiday houses in the seaside locations of Coffin Bay, Port Lincoln, Smoky Bay, Streaky Bay and Tumby Bay.
Yorke Peninsula
The Community Overnight Respite service has holiday houses in the seaside locations of Moonta, Wallaroo and Port Hughes.
Types of respite available
Community Overnight Respite provides planned, short term respite and emergency respite.
Service delivery
The respite services are provided by trained UnitingCare Wesley Adelaide staff.
Who can access this service?
The Community Overnight Respite service assists primary carers (65 years and over, or 50 years and over if Aboriginal) of frail older people and people with dementia living on the Eyre Peninsula (south of Whyalla) and the Yorke Peninsula.
