Marketing and Development Unit

This unit is responsible for fundraising activities including Appeals, Bequests, Christmas Appeal and Small Events.

The unit also takes a proactive role in developing and maintaining corporate partnerships of mutual benefit.

Finance

  • Provides financial services and advice to management

  • Accounting and financial reports for UnitingCare Wesley Adelaide Inc. and related entities

    • Monthly management reports

    • Annual statutory accounts, reports and returns

    • Government statistical and special purpose reporting

    • Oversee the investments and assets

  • Co-ordinate preparation of the annual budget

  • Co-ordinate the annual audit

  • Taxation and related advice

  • Administer insurances

  • Administer motor vehicle fleet

Goodwill

Goodwill Stores generate income for the many services of the UnitingCare Wesley Adelaide through the sale of quality recycled and new goods. The 1st Goodwill store opened in 1953.

Human Resources

  • Timely coordination and quality production of staff training and development

  • Streamlining of salary and wages monitoring/budgeting processes

  • Recognising paid and non-paid staff for years of valued service

  • Facilitating Enterprise Agreements

  • Ensuring that employees are remunerated fairly, consistently and in accordance with industrially sound practices

  • Providing a relevant and flexible salary sacrificing service

  • Providing a timely and accurate payroll service

  • Administering WorkCover claims and coordinating rehabilitation services

  • Ensuring that metropolitan as well as outreach services of UnitingCare Wesley Adelaide are safe and respectful workplaces for all staff.

Information Services

Information Services develops, maintains and oversees all information systems within UnitingCare Wesley Adelaide.

Information systems include computer purchasing, implementation and use, software and hardware, as well as the Internet, Intranet and electronic mail (e-mail).
