Murray Mallee Respite and Recovery
Disability and Mental Health Services

Murray Mallee Respite and Recovery provides flexible respite care options for carers and families who are caring for people with a severe mental illness, psychiatric disorder, or intellectual disability.

Services include:

  • In-home respite
  • Community outings
  • Flexible emergency respite
  • In-home overnight respite
  • Community based overnight respite
  • Special location respite – 1-2 days away
  • Information and counselling support for carers.

Support workers assist people to live at their optimal social and emotional wellness, by providing people practical supports to remain in their own home and opportunities to maintain their engagement in social and community activities

Clients
Under this program, priority is given to:

  • older parents who care for children (including adult children);
  • carers of any age who are facing an emergency.
