Eastern Supported Recovery
Disability and Mental Health Services
UnitingCare Wesley Adelaide

This programme works with older people living in the eastern metropolitan area who are experiencing a mental illness.

It is particularly directed towards people who:

  • require support to continue living in their own home
  • are socially or physically isolated
  • have no access or limited access to support services
  • are under threat of homelessness
  • require frequent hospital admissions for either physical or mental health concerns, and/or
  • present frequently at hospital emergency departments

Eastern Supported Recovery provides non-clinical psychosocial Mental Health rehabilitation and recovery suport, working together with the client to enable them to increase their independence and quality of life, living with a mental illness.

Clients
Older people with a mental illness (over 65 years) and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people over 45 years, who are living in the eastern metropolitan area.
