Support for Staff Development

UnitingCare Wesley Adelaide supports and promotes learning and development and encourages employees in their endeavours to gain formal qualifications. The organizations’ commitment to learning and development is evident in the workplace culture and provides the organisation with qualified and skilled employees and provides individuals with transferable qualifications and experience.

Student Placements

The Student Learning Unit is a cooperative of Flinders University's School of Social Work and UnitingCare Wesley Adelaide and UnitingCare Wesley Port Adelaide. The Unit is run by a Flinders University Field Education Coordinator. The Unit operates out of 10 Pitt St., Adelaide. Undergraduate and Post Graduate students are placed in the unit to undertake the field education component of the professional qualification in Social Work. This provides one of the requirements for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
