The Back, The Bet And God
(Which roughly translates into how Coming-out helped my health
in relationships and my sense of God)
The Back
The
lower back had been an issue for years. A good mate of mine
when massaging me would often say, "This back is
just fighting with itself. Do something". I found
out about Feast and decided to do the aboriginal walk.
The walk
provided very valuable information about the reality
of the impact of Europeans. I thought I looked pretty
cool,
calm,
and collected obviously unaware I looked like a fish
out of water. Truffy approached me and talked about the
Bfriend
program.
I became part of the program and with the support of
a great volunteer and on going input from various groups
my back
continues to improve. Does anyone know how to fix shoulders?
The Bet
The bet started early 2000, with a great mate of mine, that
by the end of 2001 I would be married. At the time I thought
this would be the easiest $20 I've ever made. When calling
each other we often joked about the bet until finally last
October I needed to come clean. It went a bit like this:
You know the bet we've got?
Yes
Well I think I need to withdraw because there are probably
details you need to know to make it fair.
Like what?
Well I kick with the other leg, so getting married isn't high
on my priorities.
Well in that case I bet that you have a partner by the end
of 2001.
So I'm still in there and I reckon I'll still win.
And God
God- that's the easy one. I have believed for a long time
that a truly loving God wouldn't gift one group with a certain
sexuality and say enjoy and celebrate while gifting another
group saying tie it in a knot as it's not of God. It only proves
to me that God is good, she is.
